(Washington, DC):The Go RVing 2025 RV Owner Demographic Profile reveals a dynamic shift in the RV ownership landscape. The study, conducted by IPSOS, unveils a younger, more diverse, and increasingly engaged RV owner base.
Key Findings:
- A New Generation of RVers: The median age of RV owners has dropped from 53 in 2021 to 49 in 2025, with nearly half (46%) now between 35-54.
- Diverse Ownership: Hispanic-American, African-American, Asian-American, and LGBTQ+ RV owners now make up 30% of the RV community.
- More Time on the Road: Owners are using their RVs more, with the median number of days used per year rising to 30, a 50% increase over usage in 2021.
- Strong Motivations: The top three motivators for purchasing an RV include spending time in nature (54%), simply unwinding and relaxing (52%), and visiting locations with natural beauty (49%). Interestingly, 49% of RVers also cite the ability to bring pets as a crucial factor in their decision.
- Remote Work Ready: .With flexible work on the rise, 22% of RV owners have someone in their household working remotely—54% of them have done so from an RV.
- Booming Intender Market: A staggering 16.9 million households express strong interest in RV ownership, indicating significant future growth.
