The story behind City Bonfires resonates with so many Americans. Neighbors Chris McCasland and Michael Opalski were sitting around a campfire in August 2020 after losing their jobs during Covid. They looked at the bonfire and had an ‘Ah Hah’ moment – how could they shrink the firepit to something anyone could use anytime, making it easy to enjoy a s’more no matter where you were.
They jumped in and since August of 2020, they’ve sold hundreds of thousands of City Bonfires and s’mores kits while hiring colleagues who also lost their jobs during the pandemic too.
